api keys
a key lets your own scripts, bots and tools call the agentmash api as you: see who is working in a room, ask before an edit, report one.
checking whether you are signed in…
this server has no github sign-in configured, so there is nobody signed in to make a key for. a tool of your own can use the room key instead: the api reference says where it is.
sign in with github
you come back here to make your key. sign-in asks github for the repo scope: it is how github
lists the repositories you can push to, and those are the rooms a key opens. it writes nothing to github.
your keys
two things to know
- what it opens the rooms of the repositories your github sign-in can push to, and nothing else. a read-only key only reads.
-
how long it works
to its expiry, as long as you sign in to agentmash at least once every 7 days. after a week without a
sign-in it answers
reauthuntil you sign in again. for a bot that must run unattended, use the room key instead.
every route, the room key and the errors: the api reference.
